Katie Ledecky: The Unprecedented Dominant Distance Swimming Phenomenon

Katie ledcky made her Olympic swimming debut in the 2012 London Olympics as a 15-year-old swimmer who won a gold medal in 800 meters free style. But that was just the start, of her becoming the most dominating swimmer the world has seen in many years.

She again surged a major upset in the swimming event of the 2012 London Olympics clinching the gold in the 200m freestyle swimming event and in the 2016 Rio Olympics she won four more gold medals in the 200m freestyle, 400m freestyle and 800m freestyle swimming events and also in the 4x200m freestyle relay swimming event. She broke her previous world records in 400m and 800m races where she emerged the winner after performing excellently. Ledecky has not taken her foot off the accelerator since Rio de Janeiro 2016 Olympics either.
